I have excellent credit and good credit score. I have bunches of credit cards, both store and visa, etc that I want to cancel. There are zero balances on all, haven’t used them in years, and just want them off my credit report as “closed by customer’s request” which shows they were not cancelled for any bad credit reason. Will this hurt my credit score?? I know if you have balances or delbt other places, it can hurt, but I have no debt and no balances on them. Thanks!

I have 5 negative reportings on my credit report. None of them are after the year 2004. I am wondering since there over 4 years old, how much are they affecting my credit score? And, has anyone ever heard of credit card companies deleting accurate late pays if asked?

Does anyone know any “GOOD” credit cards I can get with bad credit. I have a decent job, I’m 19, and have no bills. Any suggestions? I’m looking for an unsecured credit card, not secured. THANKS!

Does anyone know of a good credit card I could apply for? I have bad credit from dumb decisions in the past with credit cards. I am in need of one now but don’t want to go through applying for a bunch that I am not going to get approved for.

My wife got in over her head with credit cards when she was 18 (6 years ago). She is paying them off, but they all went to collections and her credit is very bad. I dont even think she could get a cell phone, or cable, with her credit. She’s responsible now. I have her as an authorized user on all of my accounts, and she’s the one responsible for physically making the payments. She’s trying to better her credit and someone mentioned to her that she should apply for a Star Card (I’m AD Army, I have one). This person told her that nobody is denied, and that it reports to her credit reports. Is that true?

I sign up for 5-10 credit cards a year solely based on the fact that they’ll give me $50-$100 in rewards points for using it once. I pay my balance in full every month. Is it hurting my credit to have all these open accounts? I only use one card at a time and that’s whichever card gives me the best rewards.

Okay I’m trying to fix my credit. The thing is I’m not qualify to get a regular credit card since my credit is bad. So I was thinking about applying for a secure credit card. But you see i already have one in-store credit card that is in good standing. I don’t know if I should just use my in-store credit card to improve my credit or get a secure credit card. help me please!
