Robyn asked:
or should i keep an account open? does not having a credit card hurt your credit score?
TU
not having a cc does not hurt your credit, but doesn’t help it either. if you can not control yourself with a cc, then don’t get one. i will be better in the long run for you.
yeah it’s better not to have one
a credit based economy is DESIGNED to put consumers in debt
don’t be another sheep, whenever you need something, if you can’t pay for it in full then don’t get it
DEBT is evil
keep your cards just dont use them. It will hurt your credit score for you cancel them.
You should keep an account open. In order to build and maintain good credit, you must select, use, and pay on your credit cards, and other loans, wisely. Each step is important. Put them all together and your credit score should rise. Make bad choices and you might hurt yourself in some surprising ways.
Having a credit card is useful during the emergencies.
