the bank should write to the credit company and explain it was there fault and it should be removed from your credit report, however they all a bit slow and will need a push, so instructthem to . good luck!
Blame whoever you want but the real responsibility for monitoring that credit card was you.
Did you try to contact the original creditor and work something out to remove the account from collections? Or did you wait too long to do anything?
You still owe the money. Contact the collection agency and work out a settlement. You may be able to get them to settle for less. Lump sum gets the best deals. Payment plans have to be short term. Get any settlement agreement in writing and don’t give them direct access to your bank account. You might try asking for a delete for payment — some will, some won’t
Lexington will get rid of the bad entries, without charging you a fortune.
Creditloader will lend you money to hold on deposit in large amounts, so you can re-build credit.
Like bdancer2 said, you should have it checked before you left. I don’t know if filing a complaint with State Banking Commissioner wil do any good but you have nothing to lose by trying.
Charly, first of all try to find lenders for bad credit mortgage refinancing, a lender who specialized in giving loans to individuals with bad credit. There are plenty of lenders operating in the market that offer mortgage refinance to borrowers with bad credit. You just need to shop around and find them.
