5 secured cards, with limits of how high? You’re better off getting say 2 secured cards that DONT report as secured cards, with higher limits. CHeck creditboards for cards that dont report as secured. As for going up by 100 points, depends on what’s on your credit reports right now
If you’re going to open a secured card, you’re better off just spending the cash.
The best way to reestablish your credit is to pay off your debts.
Use this free online guide to repair your credit. The people in the forums will give you free help. DO NOT PAY to clean your credit! Do it yourself for free!
The second link is Who gave me credit. It will list FICO scores ,what credit report was pulled for what credit card. There is also credit cards on both sites that you can pick out for secured cards.
I would recommend trying HSBC before trying for a secured card. The limit is low for low scores but it is unsecured. It is the third link I listed. If you can not get it go for B of A secured card. The reason is they will graduate you faster to a regular card. It is much better than Orchard, and First Premiere ect. Those are horrible. Stay away from them if you can! Try HSBC first, if not go for B of A secured card.
Best wishes to you! ![]()
PS. Crown Jewlers gives everyone a $1500.00 limit and reports to TU and EX. . It will be the fourth link. Do not worry about your credit score with them either!
tahs no problem

You should get no more than two secured credit card with high limits. With each “hard” enquiry your FICO will go down by about 5 points. Just use them responsibly and pay all your bills in full and on time. Do not apply for any new credit. Your score will improve in next six months.
Getting secure credit cards is a good idea but you want to be sure that they report to the credit bureaus and you also want to be mindful of the fees they charge.
Depending on what is on your credit or how bad your situation is, which is a big factor to consider as to what else you might need to do in addition to opening and maintaining current secure credit cards in order to raise your score 100 points or more in about 12-months.
I strongly suggest that you request copies of your credit report from the 3-credit bureaus, is a good site that allows you to do just that.
With the credit reports in hand, you are in a better position to determine what needs to be updated or deleted. You can also have good accounts that are not currently reporting to the credit bureaus to do so.
I will strongly advice that you employ other strategies along with opening those new secure credit accounts. Remember to always compare the offers carefully as fees differ.
is a good site for prepaid cards.
