Elizabeth Y asked:

At this time last year me and my husband lost our jobs. Our credit cards were charged off and we almost lost our cars and now we are trying to find a way to build our credit back up but we can’t seem to get approved by any of the on line offers for bad credit? Does anyone know of any credit cards that will give a second chance to people with really bad credit? I need help, any ideas?

Try a secured line of credit. If you have money to put down (deposit), they will give you a credit card. Once you start to build up your credit, you can then close this card, get back your “deposit” and move onto a regular credit card.

Good luck!

Banks offer secured credit cards that have limits that are set by the amount you have put in the bank. Example: You put 1,000 in the bank to secure your credit card limit of 1,000 then you charge and make payments on the credit card to show that you are reliable again. It is a wonderful way to show that you are trustworthy and regain your credit standing again.
