I would really like to find one with a very low annual fee or better yet one that has No Annual Fee. Please list some that you know have a 100% guaranteed approval rate even for those with bad credit.
HELGA
not in my experience. I am a credit union branch manager. I have to deny people a lot. Look into a credit union and try getting something secured. If you dont have cash, you can usually put your car or motorcyle up.
check this out as a resource, maybe it will help you
also try
I have found in the past though that credit cards.com isn’t the best.
Bank of America has a really good program.
Capitol One has one as well but I think you have to be invited to get one.
the only one that i know that is a bit more flexible is
capital one
to be 100% approved, that is another story
if you want to reestablish your credit, the best way is with a secure credit card; make payments on time. and do not go over the limit.
good luck.
Usually the type of card that you’re looking for are geared for people with good to excellent credit. Think about this, do you think rewards should be given out for lousy credit? Of course not, it’s the nature of the beast. Not all people with bad credit are bad people at all, I’m not saying that. Bad things do in fact happen to good people, I definitely belive that. But the best credit card to get if you have lousy credit would be Orchard Bank. First Premier builds your credit but that’s after you have to pay a balance racked up in fees, so don’t even mess with them. Captial One’s pretty easy to get but they don’t report your account correctly to the bureaus (they don’t report your limit). In the credit game, in order to get respect (low fee or no fee and low APR) you have to earn or gain repsect. Bank of America and Wells Fargo both have secured cards with fairly low annual fees if you don’t mind putting up a security deposit to get the same amount in a line of credit. Take care of the card, and usually after a year, you’ll get the deposit back with interest and the card converts into an unsecured card. That’s if you want to go that route.
Hey look, I know that I may have been a little abrasive in my answer, and I’m sorry about that. But, I’ve been there before myself, and I’ve seen firsthand what works. Also, I posted links to the websites for those companies I mentioned.
I hope that this is useful for you,
Take Care and Good luck!
NO credit card has a 100% approval rate. Not even “bad credit” credit cards like First Premier. I had a friend that was in a debt management plan and had a horrendous credit score in the 400s…even First Premier rejected him for their unsecured card! I also know of a girl who was rejected for a SECURED card from her bank(she’d been a loyal customer at that bank for years), simply because it hadn’t been long since she’d declared bankruptcy.
But cards that are easy to get…student credit cards. Capital One has a student card with no annual fee, but they give stinky low limits and they have horrible customer service…so I do NOT recommend them. But Chase and Citibank have GREAT student credit cards! The same guy that got rejected from First Premier and had a 450 credit score, got approved for a Citibank card with a $1000 limit the very next day!
Orchard Bank has a card that has an annual fee, but it’s low compared to the myriad of fees that banks like First Premier charge. Bad credit people can qualify for an unsecured Orchard Bank MasterCard with a $300 limit and a $60 annual fee. It’s a good card for rebuilding credit, but I don’t recommend it, since Orchard Bank is now owned by HSBC, which is one of the worst companies to deal with. I’ve had THREE bad experiences with them, where they tried to deny payments I’d made despite my having proof/receipts of my payments. (it took months to resolve!) So I’d avoid Orchard for that reason.
If all else fails, getting a secured card might be your best option. Bank of America has a really great partially secured card, called the 100/500. Basically you pay a $100 deposit, but you get a $500 credit limit. You can have somewhat bad credit to qualify for this card, but not if you have completely horrible credit. But if you get rejected for the 100/500 card, Bank of America will then check to see if you’re approved for their secured card(no additional hard inquiry needed).
If you do surrender to getting a secured card, try to get it with a major bank like Bank of America. Why?…Because once the card turns into an unsecured card sometime later, you will already have a credit history and some clout with a major bank that offers great products. DO NOT get a secured card with a predatory lender like Orchard or First Premier! They are rip-offs!
You won’t get a card with no fees with bad credit, but you can check out these offers.
